You build a loop by describing what you want. You can do that wherever you already work with AI: in the Songbird app, in Slack, or in the agent you use every day. Wherever you build, it’s the same loop. A loop created from Claude shows up in the Songbird app, posts to the same Slack channel, and can be edited by your teammates from their own agent. There’s no context to copy between tools, and your Organization has one place where its loops live.

Songbird app

Chat with the Songbird agent beside the loop editor and watch the steps take shape.

Slack

Talk to Songbird in Slack to run a loop on demand or reply to a post to improve it.

Your own agent

Connect the Songbird MCP to Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP client and build loops from there.

In the Songbird app

Start a new loop and describe the work in plain English. The Songbird agent:
  • breaks the work into steps and gives each step only the tools it needs,
  • sets the trigger and the Slack destination,
  • asks you to connect any systems the loop needs,
  • runs a test so you can check each step’s result, and
  • publishes the loop when you’re happy with it.
You can switch between chatting and editing at any point. Edit a step yourself, then ask the agent to tidy up the rest.

In Slack

Songbird is a member of your Slack workspace. You can ask it to run a loop on demand, and you can reply to any loop’s post to ask questions about the result or suggest changes. If you can edit the loop, Songbird can update it for everyone from that thread. See Loops in Slack.

From Claude, ChatGPT, and other agents

The Songbird MCP gives your own agent the same abilities the Songbird agent has. Once it’s connected, you can ask Claude or ChatGPT things like:
  • “Every Friday, review merged GitHub PRs tagged eng and post the draft release notes to #eng-releases.”
  • “When a new Sentry error comes in, triage it using these instructions and post to #incidents.”
  • “Update my renewal alert loop to also flag any competitor mentioned in NPS comments.”
  • “Why did last night’s lead triage run skip the CRM step?”

What your agent can do

Your agent reads Songbird’s authoring guide before it writes a loop, so it writes steps the same way the Songbird agent would.

Safe by default

  • Test runs never write. When your agent runs a test, Songbird never writes to your systems or posts to Slack.
  • Your agent can only do what you can do. It acts as you, with your access. It can only edit loops you can edit and use connections you can use.

Connect the Songbird MCP

The Songbird MCP URL is:
Claude connects to Songbird as a custom connector. Follow Anthropic’s guide, Get started with custom connectors using remote MCP, and use these settings:
  • Remote MCP server URL: the Songbird MCP URL above
  • Authentication: Sign in to Songbird when prompted.
On Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner adds the connector once for the organization, then each member connects with their own Songbird account.Once connected, start a new chat and ask Claude to list your Songbird loops to check it’s working.

Common questions

No. It’s the same loop, stored in Songbird, with the same steps, trigger, and destination. Anyone who can edit it can keep working on it from the app, from Slack, or from their own agent.
No. Your agent builds and tests the loop. Live runs happen in Songbird, on Songbird’s runtime, whether or not your agent or laptop is open.
No. Loops run through connections in Songbird. Your agent can help you find the right provider and start the connection flow, but you complete it in Songbird.
Yes, if you’re a member of that space. Your agent has exactly the access you have.
